Truss Bridge 7 Design for the Patimban Access Toll Road Development – Package 1
West Java
The Truss Bridge 7 Design for the Patimban Access Toll Road Development – Package 1 was carried out to support infrastructure connectivity to Patimban Port, requiring a bridge structure capable of accommodating heavy traffic loads and the logistical demands of the port area. The scope of work included truss bridge structural analysis, geotechnical and foundation bearing capacity assessment, load analysis and structural response to dynamic and seismic loads, river scour protection assessment, and the development of the Detailed Engineering Design (DED) for the bridge superstructure and substructure. Key challenges included the bridge span, coastal soil and environmental conditions, and the need to ensure long-term structural stability under traffic and seismic loading. The technical approach involved optimizing the steel structural system and connections, developing foundation and substructure designs based on site-specific geotechnical conditions, proposing river scour protection measures, and evaluating structural response to traffic and seismic loads to deliver a safe, efficient, and reliable bridge system.
