Technical Assistance for Full Displacement Column (FDC) Works – STA. 4+200 to STA. 6+050, Sicincin–Lubuk Alung–Padang Section of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road

The Technical Assistance for Full Displacement Column (FDC) Works from STA. 4+200 to STA. 6+050 on the Sicincin–Lubuk Alung–Padang Section of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road was conducted to support ground improvement works in an area characterized by soft soil conditions and potential ground deformation. The scope of work included technical assistance for geotechnical evaluation and the Full Displacement Column (FDC) method, embankment stability and ground deformation analysis, field construction monitoring, and development of technical recommendations for construction and soil improvement. Key challenges included soft soil conditions, potential settlement and deformation of the toll road embankment, and the need to improve soil bearing capacity under operational loads. The technical approach involved evaluating FDC performance and geotechnical stability, optimizing ground improvement parameters and construction methods, and developing technical recommendations and field monitoring measures to enhance soil bearing capacity and the stability of the toll road infrastructure.
