Tailing Dam Design – TSF290

The Tailing Dam Design for TSF290 was conducted to support the development of a tailings storage facility requiring stable and reliable containment infrastructure under site-specific geotechnical, hydrological, and mining operational conditions. The scope of work included geotechnical investigations, stability analysis of the tailing dam and tailings embankment, assessment of ground deformation and seepage, and development of the Detailed Engineering Design (DED) for the tailing dam and supporting facilities. Key challenges included maintaining dam slope stability, controlling seepage and ground deformation, and ensuring structural safety under operational and seismic loading conditions. The technical approach involved optimizing the dam and drainage system design, evaluating geotechnical and hydrological stability, and developing ground treatment and mitigation recommendations to enhance the long-term safety, stability, and reliability of the tailings storage facility.
