Substructure, Superstructure, Geometric, Geotechnical, Drainage, and Retention Pond Works for the VVIP Airport Landside RTT Consultancy Project – IKN
East Kalimantan
The Substructure, Superstructure, Geometric, Geotechnical, Drainage, and Retention Pond Works for the VVIP Airport Landside RTT Consultancy Project in IKN were carried out to ensure that the airport landside infrastructure design meets safety, ground stability, and operational requirements for the Nusantara Capital City (IKN). The scope of work included review of substructure and superstructure designs, geometric and geotechnical evaluation, drainage and retention pond analysis, and assessment of foundation and pavement designs for the airport area. Key challenges included varying ground conditions, foundation and embankment stability requirements, and the reliability of drainage and pavement systems under airport operational loads. The technical approach involved evaluating geotechnical and structural designs, analyzing soil bearing capacity and deformation, optimizing drainage and retention pond systems, and developing recommendations for foundation and pavement redesign to ensure the safety, stability, and performance of the airport facilities.
