Soil Testing for the Tarempa Regional Hospital Development Project

The Soil Testing for the Tarempa Regional Hospital Development Project was conducted to obtain soil condition data and geotechnical parameters to support the foundation and structural design of the hospital building in an island environment. The scope of work included field geotechnical investigation, soil boring and testing, soil sampling, and evaluation of geotechnical parameters and soil stratigraphy for hospital building design. Key challenges included coastal and island soil conditions, foundation bearing capacity requirements for healthcare facilities, and limited access and equipment mobilization for field investigations. The technical approach involved systematic geotechnical investigation and testing, evaluation of soil characteristics and foundation bearing capacity, and preparation of geotechnical parameter recommendations to support the safe and reliable structural design of the hospital building.
