Soil Investigation Survey for the WSI Terminal Port Development Project – Muaro Jambi

The Soil Investigation Survey for the WSI Terminal Port Development Project in Muaro Jambi was conducted to obtain geotechnical data and soil condition information as a basis for the development of port terminal infrastructure within a coastal and riverine environment. The scope of work included field geotechnical investigations, soil boring and testing, evaluation of subgrade conditions and port area stability, and interpretation of geotechnical parameters to support the design of foundations, embankments, pier structures, and supporting terminal facilities. Key challenges included soft soil conditions within the port area, the influence of groundwater levels and the surrounding water environment on foundation stability, and the need for detailed geotechnical data to support the safety and reliability of the terminal infrastructure. The technical approach involved systematic geotechnical investigation and testing, evaluation of soil characteristics and foundation bearing capacity, and development of geotechnical parameter recommendations to support the safe, stable, and reliable design and construction of the port terminal.
