Soil Investigation, Seismic Downhole Testing, and CPTu for the Serang–Panimbang Toll Road – Section 3

The Soil Investigation, Seismic Downhole Testing, and CPTu for the Serang–Panimbang Toll Road – Section 3 were conducted to obtain geotechnical data and dynamic soil characteristics as a basis for design evaluation and stability assessment of the toll road infrastructure. The scope of work included field geotechnical investigations, seismic downhole testing, Cone Penetration Test with pore pressure (CPTu), soil boring and testing, and interpretation of geotechnical and dynamic soil parameters for foundation and embankment design, as well as assessment of soil response to seismic loading. Key challenges included soft soil conditions and hilly terrain with potential ground deformation, the need for dynamic soil parameters to evaluate seismic effects, and the requirement for detailed geotechnical data to support toll road construction stability. The technical approach involved systematic geotechnical and geophysical testing, evaluation of soil characteristics and dynamic response, and development of geotechnical parameter recommendations to support the safe and stable design and construction of the toll road.
