The Soil Investigation for the VVIP Airport Development – Airside Facilities: Physical Construction Package was conducted to obtain geotechnical data and soil conditions as a basis for the development of VVIP airport airside infrastructure within the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) area. The scope of work included field geotechnical investigations, soil boring and testing, assessment of soil stratigraphy and subgrade conditions, and interpretation of geotechnical parameters for runway pavement, embankment, and airport infrastructure foundation design. Key challenges included soft soil conditions, the need to ensure airside stability under aircraft operational loads, and the requirement for detailed geotechnical data to support the safety and service life of airport infrastructure. The technical approach involved systematic investigation and testing, evaluation of soil bearing capacity and deformation characteristics, and development of geotechnical parameter recommendations to support the safe and reliable design and construction of airport facilities.
