The Soil Investigation for the Palembang–Betung Toll Road, STA. 44+100 to STA. 53+400 was conducted to obtain geotechnical data and soil condition information to support the evaluation and construction planning of the toll road in an area with soft soil conditions and potential ground deformation. The scope of work included field geotechnical investigations, soil boring and testing, evaluation of soil stratigraphy and subgrade conditions, and interpretation of geotechnical parameters for embankment, foundation, and pavement design. Key challenges included soft soil conditions, potential consolidation settlement and embankment deformation, and the need for detailed geotechnical data to support the stability and safety of the toll road infrastructure. The technical approach involved systematic geotechnical investigation and testing, evaluation of soil characteristics and area stability, and preparation of technical recommendations to support safe and reliable toll road design and construction.
