Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis for the Final Technical Design (RTA) of the Design and Build Emergency Disaster Recovery Project – Malalak, West Sumatra
North Sumatra
The Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis (PSHA) for the Final Technical Design (RTA) of the Design and Build Emergency Disaster Recovery Project in Malalak, West Sumatra, was conducted to support the technical planning of infrastructure rehabilitation in a disaster-affected area with challenging topographic and geotechnical conditions and potential landslide and seismic hazards. The scope of work included PSHA, evaluation of geotechnical conditions and dynamic soil response, and development of ground-motion parameters for structural design. The technical approach included developing site-specific seismic design parameters, evaluating potential ground response amplification, and developing response spectra and earthquake acceleration inputs. The resulting recommendations were intended to support reliable and safe structural design in accordance with applicable seismic design requirements.
