Patimban Port Development Project – Package 1

The Patimban Port Development Project – Package 1 was conducted to support the development of port infrastructure in a coastal area characterized by soft soil conditions and requiring structures capable of accommodating large-scale port operational loads. The scope of work included geotechnical investigations, structural analysis of pier and reclamation embankment systems, assessment of soil and foundation stability, and development of the Detailed Engineering Design (DED) for port facilities and supporting infrastructure. Key challenges included reclamation ground stability, potential differential settlement, and the effects of operational and seismic loading on port structures. The technical approach involved optimizing structural and foundation designs, evaluating appropriate ground improvement methods, and developing geotechnical protection and stabilization measures to enhance the safety, stability, and long-term reliability of the port infrastructure.
