Land Development for the West Coastal Area and West Apron Expansion – Ngurah Rai Airport

The Land Development for the West Coastal Area and West Apron Expansion at Ngurah Rai Airport was conducted to support the development of airport airside facilities in a coastal area requiring stable ground and pavement capable of accommodating aircraft operations and long-term loading. The scope of work included geotechnical and reclamation embankment stability assessment, settlement and deformation analysis, review of pavement and drainage systems, and development of soil improvement and land development optimization recommendations. Key challenges included soft coastal soil conditions, potential settlement and deformation of reclamation embankments, and the need to provide adequate ground bearing capacity for aircraft apron operations. The technical approach involved evaluating geotechnical and embankment stability, optimizing soil improvement and drainage methods, and developing technical recommendations to enhance the long-term stability and reliability of the airport apron area.
