Geotechnical Survey for Landslide Assessment on the Padang–Malalak Provincial Road

The Geotechnical Survey for the Padang–Malalak Provincial Road was conducted to evaluate geotechnical conditions and landslide potential along a provincial road section with steep terrain and susceptibility to ground movement. The scope of work included field geotechnical surveys, investigation of slope and subgrade conditions, geotechnical parameter testing, and evaluation of slope stability and landslide areas. Key challenges included hilly terrain, landslide risks associated with high rainfall and groundwater conditions, and the need for representative geotechnical data to support slope mitigation. The technical approach involved field geotechnical investigation and testing, assessment of slope stability and drainage conditions, and preparation of technical recommendations for landslide mitigation to improve the safety and stability of the provincial road section.
