Geotechnical Investigation for a Large-Scale Photovoltaic Solar and Battery Storage System Project in Indonesia
Aceh
The Geotechnical Investigation for a Large-Scale Photovoltaic Solar and Battery Storage System Project in Indonesia was conducted to obtain geotechnical data and soil conditions as a basis for the development of large-scale solar power generation and energy storage facilities. The scope of work included field geotechnical investigations, soil boring and testing, assessment of soil stratigraphy and characteristics, and interpretation of geotechnical parameters for the design of solar panel foundations, utility facilities, and battery storage systems. Key challenges included varying ground conditions across the large development area, the need to ensure foundation stability under operational loads, and the requirement for detailed geotechnical data to support the safety and reliability of renewable energy infrastructure. The technical approach involved systematic investigation and testing, evaluation of soil bearing capacity and deformation characteristics, and development of geotechnical parameter recommendations to support safe and reliable energy facility construction.
