Foundation Review for the Governor’s Office, Regional Legislative Council (DPRD), and MRP Buildings – Nabire, Central Papua

The Foundation Review for the Governor’s Office, Regional Legislative Council (DPRD), and MRP Buildings in Nabire, Central Papua, was conducted to ensure that the foundation systems of key government buildings meet structural stability, safety, and site-specific geotechnical requirements. The scope of work included evaluation of existing geotechnical data and foundation designs, assessment of foundation bearing capacity and settlement, review of foundation systems and soil–structure interaction, and development of foundation redesign and optimization recommendations. Key challenges included varying ground conditions, potential differential settlement, and the need to accommodate foundation bearing capacity requirements for multi-story public buildings with significant structural demands. The technical approach involved evaluating geotechnical parameters and foundation stability, optimizing foundation systems and substructure elements, and developing reinforcement and ground treatment recommendations to improve the long-term stability, safety, and structural performance of the buildings.
