Final Technical Design (RTA) for the Design and Build Emergency Disaster Recovery Project – Malalak, West Sumatra
West Sumatra
The Final Technical Design (RTA) for the Design and Build Emergency Disaster Recovery Project in Malalak, West Sumatra was prepared to support infrastructure planning in disaster-affected areas with challenging topographical and geotechnical conditions and landslide risks. The scope of work included field condition investigations, geotechnical and structural evaluations, preparation of the Final Technical Design (RTA), and development of mitigation designs and construction recommendations under the design and build scheme. Key challenges included unstable slopes, disaster-related infrastructure damage, and the need for accelerated recovery in landslide-prone areas. The technical approach involved slope stability analysis, development of slope reinforcement and drainage designs, and adaptive construction recommendations to improve the safety and long-term resilience of post-disaster infrastructure.
