Design Review and Slope Stability Design for the 150 kV and 500 kV Ampel Substation (GITET)
Aceh
The Design Review and Slope Stability Design for the 150 kV and 500 kV Ampel Substation (GITET) were conducted to ensure slope stability and the safety of substation infrastructure under site-specific topographic and geotechnical conditions with potential landslide and ground deformation risks. The scope of work included geotechnical investigation and slope stability analysis, assessment of groundwater and drainage effects, review of substation area and retaining structure designs, and development of redesign and slope reinforcement recommendations. Key challenges included slope instability and potential landslides, the influence of groundwater and drainage conditions on soil stability, and the need to protect high-voltage electrical infrastructure from slope deformation. The technical approach involved evaluating geotechnical stability and drainage systems, optimizing slope reinforcement and protection measures, and developing technical recommendations to improve the factor of safety and maintain the stability of the electrical infrastructure area.
