CPTu Testing for the Semarang–Demak Toll Road Section 1B JV Project

The CPTu Testing for the Semarang–Demak Toll Road Section 1B JV Project was conducted to obtain detailed geotechnical data for a coastal toll road area characterized by soft soil conditions and potential consolidation settlement. The scope of work included Cone Penetration Test with pore pressure (CPTu), pore water pressure measurement, evaluation of soil stratigraphy and geotechnical parameters, and interpretation of test results to support toll road embankment design and stability assessment. Key challenges included soft coastal soils, potential ground deformation and settlement, and the need for detailed geotechnical data to support the design of ground improvement and toll road embankments. The technical approach involved systematic and controlled CPTu testing, evaluation of soil parameters and pore water pressure, and development of geotechnical parameter recommendations to support the long-term design and stability of the toll road infrastructure.
