Construction Assistance for Trial Embankment Implementation – Semarang–Demak Toll Road Section I

The Construction Assistance for the Trial Embankment Implementation on the Semarang–Demak Toll Road Section I was conducted to evaluate soft soil behavior and the effectiveness of ground improvement methods in a coastal toll road embankment area with potential consolidation settlement and ground deformation. The scope of work included construction assistance for the trial embankment, monitoring of ground settlement and deformation, embankment stability evaluation, and development of recommendations for construction methods and soil improvement. Key challenges included soft coastal soils, potential long-term consolidation settlement and deformation, and the need to maintain embankment stability under toll road operational loads. The technical approach involved evaluating embankment performance through geotechnical monitoring, optimizing construction and ground improvement methods, and developing technical recommendations to enhance the long-term safety and stability of the toll road embankment.
