Basic Design Study for the Cirebon–Semarang Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline Development

The Basic Design Study for the Cirebon–Semarang Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline Development was conducted to support the development of natural gas transmission infrastructure along a cross-provincial corridor characterized by varying geotechnical and topographic conditions. The scope of work included preliminary geotechnical investigations, pipeline route analysis, soil and slope stability assessment, and development of the basic design for the pipeline system and supporting infrastructure. Key challenges included pipeline route stability across embankment and sloped areas, potential ground deformation, and the need to ensure transmission corridor safety under varying environmental conditions. The technical approach involved evaluating geotechnical conditions and route stability, optimizing the pipeline alignment and supporting foundation systems, and developing ground treatment recommendations to enhance the safety and reliability of the natural gas transmission system.
